Chantiers de l'Atlantique is the birthplace of many legendary ocean liners such as France, Queen Mary 2, Harmony of the Seas… The Shipyard tour immerses you into an outstanding industrial adventure. The site spreads over more than 250 acres of land (100 hectares), and its facilities are among the largest and most innovative in the world. You will also be amazed by the giant facilities involved in the diversification towards marine renewable energy (the yard builds turbine parts and other elements for offshore wind farms).
The tour provides a very comprehensive overview of this industrial site and covers all the aspects of the shipbuilding process. From a pedestrian gallery that overlooks the assembly dock, you will have a privileged view of the yard’s activity. You will also visit a huge workshop where steel plates are welded together.
Visit the Guérande medieval city : between the local beer, the salt marshes and the ocean, the medieval city of Guérande erects its ramparts and intertwines architectural and natural heritage.
You can enjoy a walk on the wild coast, to inflate your lungs with salty air, you will see the castle of Ranrouët an invigorating moment before restarting our ISCOM meeting. You can also bring back Guérande's salt as souvenir.
